Brooklyn’s Award-Winning Drag Collective

Switch n' Play (SNP) is a Brooklyn drag collective established in 2006. One of the longest-running drag shows in New York City, the collective brings together a dynamic lineup of queer performers, including members Divina GranSparkle, K.James, Miss Malice, Nyx Nocturne, the Illustrious Pearl,and Vigor Mortis, as well as a rotating cast of special guests.

Known for genre-blending performances, Switch n’ Play curates shows that are both slick and irreverent, grounded in queer experimentation, collaboration, and community. By centering trans drag performers, drag kings, dyke queens, and draglesque artists, the collective has built a vibrant, electric space that’s helped define Brooklyn drag.

The collective currently produces monthly at Littlefield in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Switch n' Play produced shows twice a month at Branded Saloon in Prospect Heights from 2014-2020, in addition to mounting large-scale productions at National Sawdust in Williamsburg in 2018-2020.

Switch n' Play won "Best Burlesque Show" at the Brooklyn Nightlife Awards in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and has also been recognized in the "Best Drag Show" and "Hall of Fame" categories. The collective has been invited to perform at Lincoln Center, Sasha Velour's NightGowns, Bushwig, the New York Public Library, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the Brooklyn Museum. 

Switch n' Play is also the subject of an award-winning 2019 feature documentary film, "A Night at Switch n' Play," directed by Cody Stickles and produced by Chelsea Moore. The film's world premiere took place on June 1st at the Inside-Out Festival in Toronto, Canada.
